Painting workshops in beautiful locations always present challenges.  While it's relaxing to sit in the sun and read a good book, it's also stimulating to paint the enticing scene.  Decisions, decisions!

Benvenuto in Italia

The Tuscan countryside is a mosaic of wonderful colors. The vineyards, the olive trees, the Italian cypress trees all add to the splendors of the land. We're off on our journey, two weeks in Italy, painting, sketching, photographing and enjoying the gastronomic pleasures that are being offered to us. This view from the plane as we approach the Florence airport gives you an idea what awaits us.

Cabot's Pueblo

Today our plein air watercolor group painted at Cabot's Pueblo Museum in Desert Hot Springs. This unique, former residence, was built entirely by one man, of handmade adobe and other materials. The collection of "stuff" on the grounds makes it great fodder for painters.
