The Portland Rose Gardens are a wild explosion of color in the summer.  If you love roses, add it to your list of must see places.  This hybrid tea rose, "Artistry", is a gorgeous color.  A deep, rich coral, it screams for attention.

Tea Rose

Thursday, February 4, 2010

I love the opening buds on tea roses.  There's something elegant about them.  The elongated shape with gently curling petals makes a dramatic statement.  Some poeple like floribunda roses, others like the old style roses and some prefer clilmbing roses.  There are plenty of choices and I'm sure there's a rose for you.

Artistry

Tuesday, July 28, 2009

It was a corker in Portland today. 106. And we thought we were getting away from the heat. We spend the morning trying to cool off at the Japanese Garden where it was shady. Nearby was the rose garden that Portland is so famous for. But they didn't like this heat. I did find a few and this hybrid tea rose named "Artisrty" was doing just fine.
