Early Morning Hollyhocks

I love hollyhocks and continually forget to plant them each spring so when I find them on my travels I take lots of pictures to remind my how beautiful they are.  Originally of turkish origin, these have made their way to many parts of the globe.

Chama Hollyhocks

I love hollyhocks and they can be found all over the world.  I just keep forgetting to plant some in my yard.  So I take lots of pictures.  I found these in the railyard at Chama, New Mexico.  They've planted a nice garden just outside the ticket office with a few benches so everyone can enjoy the beauty of the flowers.

Santa Fe Hollyhocks

Two things I love, hollyhocks and Santa Fe, make a great combo.   If you're ever in Santa Fe in the summer you'll find plenty of these Eastern Mediterranean natives.

Sunny Hollyhocks

Thought to have originated in the the region of Turkey, hollyhocks have found a home in gardens and on roadsides from there through Italy to Great Britain. They provide a wonderful backdrop for shorter flowers. Hardy, they like a variety of climates and come in colors ranging from white and delicate pinks and yellows to rich magentas and almost black purples.
