Night Market

Sunday, September 20, 2009

Most businesses close in the afternoon in Italy and reopen around 4:30 p.m. and stay open into the early evening. These onions, garlic and shallots were on display outside a small market near our hotel in Sorrento.

Onions with Garlic

Tuesday, June 9, 2009

I was trying to decide what to use for a class exercise one morning when I spotted these sprouting onions on the counter. Turned out the students loved it. The green tops added to the composition and was the spark of color needed to round out the design.

Have Some Garlic

Sunday, December 21, 2008

A fellow artist and dear friend, who also has a blog, posted some garlic last night on his site. But I thought, "wait until he sees the picture I took in Agadir last year at the Souk Souk (big bazaar)". So here it is. And this was only a portion of the garlic the vendor had for sale.
