Solitary Dew Drop

Tuesday, October 12, 2010
A friend invited me to see her garden today and this pale yellow rose caught my eye with this one, lonesome dew drop ready to fall.

White Knight

Thursday, June 25, 2009

I spotted this beauty in Butchart Gardens in Victoria, B.C. This is a must see treasure of flowers and all things growing if you get to that part of Canada.

Lone Rose in Eymet

Monday, June 8, 2009

I took a walk along the back streets and alleys of Eymet when I was in France and came upon this lone rose, doing it's best to put on a good show. Someone has lovingly tied it up, hoping to make it a climber.

I was in Pismo Beach this weekend for a wedding and spotted this beautiful apricot rose in the late afternoon sun.

A French Rose

Sunday, November 16, 2008

I don't often paint roses but I'm always taking pictures hoping to find the perfect one to paint. I found this lovely rose in France earlier this year and although I don't think it has the qualities I look for to make a great painting, it still was a pretty flower.

After the Rain

Friday, September 12, 2008

Since Alaska's been in the news lately I remembered this rose I captured after an early morning rain in Juneau.
